The rescue happened on Friday morning, Dec. 29 behind a White Plains residence, when a driver crashed their car down a steep slope behind the home after suffering a medical emergency, according to White Plains fire officials.

Arriving first responders were able to secure the vehicle with a grip hoist and set up a rope system with a frame to help pull the car up from the muddy unstable slope. The driver was then taken to a hospital, officials said.

"A job well done by all involved," fire officials said.
